    Responsibilities

    The Systems Administrator will be focused on managing and scaling a large set of systems in a Multi-Data Center environment. Administrator will install, configure, and maintain multiple servers and supporting applications for Publishing and Business Systems. This person will work under general supervision from both the IT Services Manager and Business Unit Project Managers.

    • Install Linux Operating systems, new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve hardware and software related problems. 
    • Perform system backups and recovery, maintain data files, and monitor systems and configurations to ensure data integrity. 
    • Create and manage highly scalable environments using Linux clustering and virtual server technologies using WordPress and lamp stack.
    • Create and maintain system documentation for production, QA, and development environments
    • Firewall maintenance and configuration 
    • Monitor the Linux  severs to ensure highest level of uptime
    • Provide performance tuning and timely troubleshooting resolution of complex issues including high-pressure system down events
    • Team member on the 24/7 systems support team
    • Assist in product evaluations/recommendations 
    • Work closely with other departments on product development and enhancements
    • Assist with Tier 1 and Tier 2 level support

    Qualifications

    • Ideally 5-7+ years of experience in an Information Technology environment, administering multiple  systems in multiple data centers
    • Extensive working knowledge of Linux scripting. Redhat certification
    • Extensive working knowledge of Linux operating systems
    • Extensive Working knowledge of web technologies, protocols, languages, including apache, DNS, DHCP, TELNET, FTP, SSL, and SSH, Nagios, Docker containers
    • Extensive knowledge of Networking and Load Balancing A10 Networks
    • Extensive knowledge of Auto Deployments
    • MySQL database administration and configuration skills
    • Experience with SAN/NAS installations and concepts such as Snapshot and Replay
    • Experience managing firewalls, IDP/IPS and or other perimeter security devices
    • Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills required
    • Must be a self-starter, require minimal supervision, and maintain a positive attitude
    • Previous experience in an Internet/software development related environment a plus
    • Windows expertise is a Plus
    • Ability to work on site in Denver Mon-Fri (8am-5pm). Some weekend and off-hours may be required
