    The Boston Herald is looking for an experienced Food Writer to work 15 hours per week.


    • Writes weekly lead and sidebars for Fork Lift food section in Boston Herald print and online editions, arranges for photo shoots

    • Develops ideas for features

    • Incorporates video and/or podcasts with stories whenever possible

    • Contributes to Fork Lift food blog

    • Attends pertinent local food events representing the Herald, providing video coverage and podcasts when appropriate


    • Experience writing about food

    • Knowledge of the Boston food scene including the players and celebrity chefs

    • Ability to read a recipe from a chef and translate it to make sense for the reader

    • Knows how to identify the latest food trends or hunt down the latest food trends

    • Position is 15 hours per week and flexible on days/hours
