The Eureka Times-Standard, a daily newspaper in Eureka, CA. has an immediate opening for an advertising manager to lead its six person sales department.  We publish a community daily newspaper, a weekly newspaper and a family of other digital and print solutions. Our Northern California region offers an abundance of beauty and recreation activities, beach access, two colleges, a vibrant arts culture and an environment that allows independent business to thrive.  We are not home to miles and miles of big box retailers or chain restaurants, but home to over eighty thriving local eating establishments and a very active Humboldt grown business culture that produces everything from fine choclates to world famous craft beers.  We truly are located where the redwoods meet the coast.#NorCal #Associate

    Overall Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires big-picture vision when it comes to new product development along with shorter vision when it comes to exceeding monthly print and digital goals.  Community involvement is a must as we sponsor numerous events throughout the year and are heavily invested in all of the local communities throughout Humboldt County.

This position requires a valid California driver’s license and must provide proof of auto insurance. Local travel is required.

The candidate we are looking for has at least three years of experience in an advertising media sales or leadership role with proven results.  College degree is preferred, but not essential based on experience.  The Advertising Manager reports to the Publisher and serves on the company's Operating Committee.  Please include a resume when applying for this position.
