The Sun of Lowell, Sentinel & Enterprise of Fitchburg, and the Nashoba Valley Voice comprise the Massachusetts cluster of Digital First Media, the nation’s fourth-largest newspaper publishing company in America. The two daily news operations – Lowell and Fitchburg - are the market leaders in the Merrimack Valley and North Central Massachusetts. Their 28 multimedia journalists and videographers produce print and digital content that generates more than 4.4 million page views per month on multiple platforms.
The integrated news operations deliver quick, incisive breaking news reports and visuals on three websites. The Sun and S&E have received more than 100 news reporting awards since 2013 in the annual New England Newspaper and Press Association competition. Lowell and Fitchburg are located 31 miles apart and 34 miles from Boston.
Lowell features America’s first urban national park, the 17,000-student University of Massachusetts at Lowell, LeLacheur Park (the home of the Lowell Spinners minor league baseball affiliate of
the Boston Red Sox) and the 6,000-seat Tsongas Center. Fitchburg is the home to 11,000-student Fitchburg State University and burgeoning downtown Theater Block.
